We provide therapy in a fun and engaging manner specific to each child's needs. We combine child-led, play-based, literacy-based, structured therapy, and gestalt-language approaches to deliver individualized therapy.
At Mar Speech Therapy, we believe in a collaborative approach and welcome parents and caregivers to participate in therapy sessions. We also provide home practice for clients when it's appropriate.
EARLY INTERVENTION
Combining play and parent coaching, we provide early intervention services to help children develop communication and social skills such as:

engaging in back and forth play
We will follow your child's lead during the session to keep them engaged in learning. Parents will also learn strategies for supporting learning at home.
Speech & Language Therapy
Speech and language therapy for children will target your child's individualized speech and language needs. Common skills addressed include:

articulation (how sounds and words are produced)

grammar and vocabulary

following directions, asking and answering questions

conversational skills

self-advocacy skills​
Home practice will also be provided to support ongoing progress between sessions.
LITERACY
We specialize in Orton-Gillingham — a multi-sensory approach addressing your child's reading and writing needs. This specialized reading instruction engages all of the student's senses to help with learning, including seeing, feeling, hearing, and moving. Literacy therapy will help your child improve skills such as:
